A Christmas Story
PERFORMANCES NOVEMBER 7th - 16th
Humorist Jean Shepherd’s memoir of growing up in the Midwest in the 1940s follows 9-year-old Ralphie Parker in his quest to get a genuine Red Ryder BB gun under the tree for Christmas. Ralphie pleads his case before his mother, his teacher and even Santa Claus himself at Higbee’s Department Store. The consistent response: “You’ll shoot your eye out!” All the elements from the beloved motion picture are here.

Monty Python's Spamalot Auditions
December 5 & 6 (7:30-9:30PM). December 7 (9:00AM-Noon). Come prepared to sing a short musical number and read from a provided script.
SPAMALOT retells the legend of King Arthur and his Knights of the Round Table, and features a bevy of beautiful girls, not to mention cows, killer rabbits, and French people… The outrageous, uproarious, and gloriously entertaining story of King Arthur and the Lady of the Lake will delight audiences as they search for the Holy Grail and “always look on the bright side of life”.

Located 20 miles south of Burley in the beautiful Snake River plains of South Central Idaho, we are the OAKLEY VALLEY ARTS COUNCIL.
Occupying the HISTORIC 1907 HOWELLS OPERA HOUSE, we produce musical and theatrical productions year-round and a annual Christmas Concert thanks to the efforts of our devoted volunteers.
Our mission
Our mission as a non-profit is three-fold:
1) Promote and encourage the performing arts.
2) Produce local musical and theatrical productions, providing the opportunity for the valley and surrounding areas to participate in live performances.
3) Maintain and improve the property known as Howells Opera House.
